MISSION STATEMENT
The St. Michael’s Troubadours, or the Troubs, are a student run drama society who strive to foster a representative, inclusive, anti-racist, and welcoming community that is committed to creating space for students to showcase and develop their artistic capabilities. Every season consists of plays, musicals, and other theatre pieces, all of which are produced and performed by students in the U of T theatre community.

Executive Producer
Hellooooo!! I'm in my third year studying psychology, drama, and education. As executive producer, I will be overseeing the SMCT 23-24 season and providing all the support required to bring forth a wonderful season. It’s my pleasure returning to this position! (apologies for that strange human being in my headshot, that's just an annoying teenager).

Meg Patni (she/her)
Equity director
I’m Meg and I’m this year’s equity director! I’ve been involved with theatre before but this is my first time holding an equity role in theatre. I know we’re going to have an amazing season and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Jiaao Yu (she/her)
Treasurer
Hey, I'm Jiaao, and I'm thrilled to serve as the Treasurer for the SMCT. I'm going into my fourth year of Rotman Commerce, specializing in Accounting. Aside from numbers, I love baking and have been doing it for three years now. I'm excited to meet everyone and contribute to the SMCT!
Alicia Balduzzi (She/Her)
Artistic Director
I’m thrilled to be the Troub's Artistic Director this year! I'm an English Specialist who studies drama. When I'm not studying plays, I'm performing in them. I was lucky to work on two great campus shows last year: High School Musical 2: The Shadowcast (VCDS) and Cabaret (SMCT). I hope to use my theatre performance background to create another great season of theatre here at St. Mikes!

Hi! I’m in my second year at UofT with a double major in Cinema Studies and Sexual Diversity Studies. I’m very excited to be this year’s media and marketing director. Now I can justify always being on social media! I look forward to helping to bring a great season to you, and keeping you updated!

Hi this is JoJo and I am the executive secretary for this school year. I am a huge fan of theatre production and looking forward to work with everyone next year. Fun fact about me, my favorite musical piece is Come From Away^

I am entering my first year at U of T. I am studying humanities, but theatre also has a special place in my heart. I'm super thrilled to be working with the SMC Troubadours for the 2023/24 season.

Assistant Executive Producer
I am this year’s assistant executive producer, and am currently in my third year double majoring in Cognitive Science and Fundamental Genetics. My background is in film production, and I am so happy to have this opportunity to learn more about theatre and help creative ideas flourish!

Hi I’m Hannah and I’m super happy to be one of the assistant technical directors this year. I have experience helping out backstage as a stage manager and a sound technician. I am excited to work with everyone!

Hi! This is Chris and I’m joining this year as an Assistant Technical Director. My background is in architecture and I’m hoping to help create some amazing spaces to bring this season’s plays to life!

Hiya :) I’m Kieron, and I’m a 3rd year exchange student from London. I am very much a theatre kid (I grew up watching glee), so I am ecstatic to be on the committee and cannot wait to help bring this season’s campus theatre to life!
